Does anyone here watch? Lately, I find myself completely intrigued by the crime dramas on USA: White Collar, Burn Notice, etc, though I rank this as a favorite. The lead actor, Matt Bomer, is just super intriguing to me, and I have to watch every time he's on screen. Luckily, I enjoy the rest of the cast too, so it has worked out, haha. I don't want to spoil anyone, but last season had an amazing finale, so I'm really looking forward to the new premiere in July. Any fans? I want to talk theories on that finale!

The teen angst is sort'a thick, but there are enough good plotlines going that no one thing gets boring

The whole good brother against evil brother, centered around a girl, is a really classic plotline... with the twist that both are vampires

All you Lost fans might want to check this show out. I caught it today and it was very good.

Based on Canadian author Robert J Sawyers book of the same name it deals with a world wide disaster. Everyone on the planet passes out for 2 minutes, leading
to lots of car and plane crashes and lots of burning buildings and mass confusion. The hook though, is that while everyone is passed out, they see a vision of
their lives in the future 6 months from now. Well...not everyone. Some people didn't see anything, so they think they will be dead by that point. And of
course, not everyone's flashforward is a happy one either. But others got to see sport scores from reading the paper, and stock prices of the future.

ABC is really pushing this one, but I have no idea how they are going to continue on past future visions everyone had.

Just wondering if anyone was watching this updated version of an old favourite?

I have to say, it isn't bad. It's not getting the big ratings the execs were expecting, but it took at least a year for the original to get it's
footing. So I hope they give it a chance.

The premise for the new one is that Sydney Andrews (who actually died in the original) is back and the landlady of the titular apartment complex Her body is
found floating in the pool in the opening minutes, and Sydney appears in flashbacks (ala Desperate Housewives) with each of the main characters who all seem to
have had a reason for killing her. Sydney's estwhile ex-husband also makes an appearance (turns out he helped her fake her death 10 years ago), with Jane
Mancini also showing up to be the new landlady supposedly, and rumours of Jo Reynolds also coming back for a stint.

Not sure how I feel about Jo coming back. In the original, Jo started off as a ballsy take...

What Are You Watching This Summer?

Since the majority of the reality tv shows and the regular primetime shows are on hiatus for the summer, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone
is watching.

I, for one, have found several new and returning cable shows that have me watching faithfully, as well as some new regular tv channel shows. So here they are:

Monday night - The Secret Life of the American Teenager on FoxFamily has got to be one of the best shows I've seen come around in a long time. This is the
second season. It runs all summer. I highly recommend it. It's about Amy, a high school sophomore, who got pregnant the first time she had sex (at band
camp, no less), and all of the trials and tribulations her family and friends goes through. She decided to keep the baby, John. Her mom is played by Molly
Ringwald, who is absolutely fabulous in this role!

Tuesday night - Mental on Fox is a MUST SEE!!!!!! Great show about the psychiatric ward run by Dr. Jack...

Damages (some spoilers from the first season)

I just spent the weekend watching the DVD series of Damages Season 1 with Glenn Close.

What a fantastic show! Glenn Close basically reprises her role as the Marqeise de Mertuil from Dangerous Liaisons from 1989, but this time set in a
contemperary New York law office. Her morals and ethics are still under question but there is a much more subtle layering of her character.

The premise of the show is Close's character, Patty Hewes, in a high stakes litigation against a powerful CEO who has been accused of Enron like
irrgularities. She hires Rose Byrne (Ellen Parsons) and takes her under her wing as a mentor. But she is also using her to get to Ted Danson who plays the CEO
in question and Ellen is related to to a possible witness.

As the season goes on, it is hard to figure out who are the bad guys and who are good. They are all amiguous and I don't think anyone is truly evil or
good.

But after watching the finale, there is some...

Harpers Island

Has anyone been watching this? It's actually a pretty good show. Sort of a horror/mystery miniseries. It's going to run for 13 episodes and that is it.

The premise is that there is a big wedding planned on Harpers Island, and during the run of the show, guests get killed one by one (think And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie). There are alot of subplots and it seems every character has a secret.

The only problem I have with the show so far is that there are just too many characters right now, but it is only the 4th episode. Plus they all look the same, though the acting is pretty good. Another thing is that as of the 4th episode about 6-7 people have died, yet no bodies have been found nor has anyone wondered where the heck these people have disappeared to. But I guess like any horror movie, you have to suspend disbelief and just enjoy the ride.

You can probably get the first episodes online at CBS, but it airs Saturday...

This is a new show on NBC, it aired Sunday night. It was pretty good.

It was about a country run by a king who is at war with a neighboring country. This young soldier rescues the kings son from a POW camp and is given the royal treatment by the king, or so it seems.

I think the show will end up being kind of like a night time soap, with the king having a mistress on the side, the kings brother in law being the one pulling the purse strings, the kings son being gay, the soldier falling for the kings daughter. That was all in the 2 hour premire, I think this show could be a keeper for NBC.
