Posts: 287 05/28/09 02:51 PM Senior Member	This is the lastest reality offering from NBC (beginning June 1st), and I would compare it to Big Brother meets Costa Rica! It puts celebrities who look about the farthest from what I would consider "easy going" into the jungle of Costa Rica without luxuries, and they have to earn them back...as well as food and water. Even better, Janice Dickinson, Heidi and Spencer of the Hills, and Sanjaya will all be competing. Could you picture any of them without a blow dryer!? Also, it will be on four nights a week, Monday-Thurs, and you get to vote about what happens to them...so definitely worth it to keep up!

They had this on a few years ago where Cris(s) Judd (JLo's 2nd ex husband) won....Tyson Beckford and Bruce Jenner were the biggest names I remember.... I am sure it would be fun to catch, but let's hope it's not up against something better...

Posts: 36 05/30/09 04:25 PM	Forgot to add, I watched this show when it was on ABC back in '03. Yeah, the celebrities at best were d-list, but it was a fun show to watch. They really did seem to be out of their comfort level and there was a sense of "reality". And by reality I meant that after a couple of days in the jungle, the celebs forgot their red carpet persona, and became more real, and sometimes not for the better. LOL This time around the biggest celebs seem to be Janice Dickinson and Lou Diamond Phillips. I have heard of the Pratts and Sanjaya, but the others I have no idea. Hopefully they'll keep Janice around because no matter what you think of her, she does make good TV.

Posts: 3743 06/02/09 02:09 PM Community Moderator	I caught most of it, I rather enjoyed it. I also like Spensor, without him the show would be boring as hell. This will be one of the shows that I can either take or miss and it won't mean much, but four nights a week for 3 weeks I don't think I'll catch all the episodes and I won't record them to watch later. Most of the people I haven't got a clue who they are, but most of them do think their shit doesn't stink. My guess is Spencer will be the first ones the fans vote to have to do the nasty whatever, for that matter he may get stuck with the punishment each time until he calls it quits.

According to reports, right after the live show last night, Spencer and Heidi did quit and replacements are already being flown in. Of course, it just could be a ratings ploy. Who knows.

Let's hope so - the show was non-tolerable with those 2 pathetic losers - who I'd never even heard of except for a couple of times I saw their names on TMZ. I wasn't going to watch anymore but will give it a chance if they leave. I like most of the rest of the cast, especially (surprisingly) Sunjaya and Lou Diamond Phillips. Janice Dickenson should get a refund from her plastic surgeon. She looks terrible.

Posts: 3744 06/03/09 01:11 PM Community Moderator	I'm bummed that Spenser and Heidi quit, I think the show will go down hill fast, noone to hate anymore, takes the fun out of reality shows. I wasn't aware people voted to keep their favorite in and that someone would be going home each night or each week, not sure how often they do the eliminations. I'll still give it another shot to see if someone else steps up and entertains me, so far it's been the Heidi and Spencer show.

The NBC site still has them listed as quitting, but I'm sure there will be an excellent bring back if it occurs. And I could only imagine they will be completely dogged for throwing such a fit!! Like Jagger says they bring the entertainment, but they are playing this game totally wrong. This isn't Survivor where psyching out other people helps you to win. The person who wins is the person who whines the least. LOL And all their "I'm leaving" is utter bull. Those two would never give up the opportunity of being in front of a camera. They were the first to sign on for this show, and I have no doubt they knew exactly what they were getting into.

Your right the fans will boot their asses off mighty quick when they get tierd of listening to them whine. Wonder if they left the other night just so they wouldn't be the first ones booted off the show. Curious if the rest of the group will let them back in, they want us to believe they won't but I'm thinking they'll change their minds and they'll be back tonight. They must be getting hard up for D class celebrities, Daniel Baldwin, I mean how lower of a celebrity link do you need. His main fame is he is related to the other Baldwins, next we'll see Senjahas sister.

He was getting a ton of camera time and it was growing more annoying with every stupid leer he threw our way. Heidi is a vapid twat. I would rather they didn't return. Why did they break them into men vs. women? And are they really sharing the food anyway? I like Lou Diamond Phillips but I actually always have!

The guys would look pretty mean noshing down while the ladies starved. I would disagree with the Men vs women thing if all the challenges were physical like tonights. But most of them have been creepy-crawlie ones that anyone can win.
