Oh, jagger, I am so hooked on FB, especially Farmtown and Farmville. Never thought I'd get so crazy about planting and plowing. It has also allowed me to
reconnect with some friends that I never thought I would ever see or talk to again.

I have to blame Bas and Binky for getting me hooked on these games.
They've got me playing Farmville, Farmtown, Lil Farmtown, Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars and a few others. Dam there addicting. LOL Mamabear you need to join Bas, Binky and my Mafias in both Vampire Wars and Mafia Wars. |

I know many people who want me to join Facebook, but what makes me hesitatant is how do I have, for example my college daughter as my friend without her
knowing all my business from everyone else? I have nothing to hide from but I certainly don't speak in front of her the same way I speak to others. I am
reluctant but curious... How do you all edit your "groups" of who sees what?

You can edit your profile so noone but yourself can see what you write.
You can always join and see what the settings are and determine from there who you want to invite, who you want to see stuff on your board. I pretty much don't write anything personal on it, if I want to chat with someone they have a chat button on it, or if I want to send someone a private message you can do that also. I really enjoy it. |

You can create different groups of people... Some that see your status updates, some that don't... I don't really use that feature, but I do have photo
albums that are only visible to select friends... I had the same concerns meshing family/relatives with online friends... I stopped worrying about it though...
In fact, I think I've gotten to know my sisters at a completely different level ... You could just not friend your daughter too... She may not want to be
on your list either! It's funny to have so many different facets of my life in one place...

I think you can also "friend' someone, but block them from seeing your posts. Not sure how that works though.
But I think the general rule of thumb in any social networking site is to not put anything on there that would embarrass yourself. Just assume everyone you know will be reading what you post. Actually, thats a good rule of thumb for ANYTHING you post, even if you think it is anonymous. I was on one site where a guy got fired because his boss figured out he was trash talking work online. Always be careful. |

I am also nervous as I know it's a huge recruiting tool. In my current job I know they did a background check on me before they offered me a spot and I
believe they may have checked out whether I had a Facebook/Myspace page. They did not care that if I had one, but could have been with what may be on it. Not
for me so much, but job seekers may want to keep that in perspective.

They can't see your page unless you friend them, unless you have it open to the public.
Most companies now want there employees to have a Facebook page and pimp the company. |

I enjoy that too, but it's hard to remember who's who.
Most of my friends on FB are from message boards like this where you use screen names, I don't always remember who's who in real life names. LOL |

For those of you on here that are playing Mafia Wars, are you getting a lot of error messages. Every time I have attempted something on there today I have
gotten an error messaeg. Sometimes the thing I was trying to do works but most of the time it doesn't.

For those on FB who are addicted to way too many of the games, there appears to be one more coming: Civilization Network! Sid Meier, creator of the
Civilization video games, has announced on the Civ facebook page that they are
developing an application version of the popular turn-based strategy game:
